Front Camera — Actually One of Its Best Features
The 50MP front camera is genuinely impressive at this price.
Selfies come out sharp and detailed. Skin tones look natural — not overly brightened or smoothed out the way some budget phones handle it. The front camera paired with the Selfie Mirror rear setup gives you two solid options for portraits, which is more than most phones in this segment offer.
For anyone who creates content or just likes clean selfies without heavy filters, the front camera is a legitimate reason to consider this phone.
Video — Don’t Expect Too Much
Video on the Realme 16 5G is capped at 1080p.
Not 4K. Not 1080p at 60fps for smooth motion. Just standard 1080p.
The Realme 15 supported 4K video. The 16 5G steps back on this. If you’re a content creator who needs good video, this phone is not the one. The Realme 16 Pro+ handles that better.
